We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client’s skilled nursing Pediatrics practice. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing kind, competent, and high-quality care to pediatric patients and their families. This role focuses on triage, parent/patient communication, support for clinical procedures, and oversight of medical assistants. Key Responsibilities
Provide triage and medical advice for incoming patient calls with professionalism and empathy
Assist with clinical procedures, including injections requiring RN-level administration
Supervise and verify medications administered by Medical Assistants (MAs)
Prepare COVID-19 vaccines for children aged 6 months to 4 years
Perform medication inventory checks and ensure proper documentation
Utilize EPIC (preferred) or other EHR systems to document and access patient records
Maintain strong communication with patients, parents, and healthcare team members
Deliver excellent customer service while helping ease patient and family concerns
Required Qualifications
Nursing degree or graduation from an approved RN program
Active Registered Nurse license in the state of California
Minimum 2 years of experience working as an advice nurse, preferably in pediatrics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service and organizational abilities
Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with parents and young patients
Team-oriented and committed to high-quality, family-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
