We are seeking a highly experienced and communicative Project Manager to lead and coordinate enterprise-level IT infrastructure and construction projects within a healthcare environment. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep knowledge in project management, construction IT infrastructure, and healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will effectively engage stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and drive projects to successful completion with a focus on delivering business outcomes and operational readiness.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional meetings with stakeholders; ensure clear, effective communication across all levels of the organization
Translate strategic goals into actionable project plans and deliverables
Manage day-to-day project operations and status reporting
Align projects with overarching enterprise business objectives
Apply PM best practices while adhering to EMPO project management standards
Lead the requirements gathering process for both business and technical needs
Coordinate technical design, build, and testing efforts to ensure solutions meet business expectations
Execute robust change management and operational readiness plans
Develop and implement enterprise-level communication strategies
Oversee infrastructure integration with clinical systems and construction activities
Ensure IT elements such as cabling, LAN/WAN, end-user devices, and telecom are integrated during construction planning
Understand interdependencies between IT systems and construction tasks
Manage project budgets, including capital and operating expenditures, and provide forecasts
Maintain documentation in PMIS systems and adhere to EPMO standards
Serve as the primary liaison for assigned projects and perform duties as assigned by the EPMO Associate Director
Required Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience managing enterprise-wide projects
Minimum 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure and construction within a healthcare setting
Strong project financial management skills
Hands-on experience with at least one PPM/PMIS tool
Advanced communication, leadership, and team facilitation skills
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), MS Project, and Smartsheet
Strong background in coordinating with construction teams, vendors, and internal IT
Familiarity with technical infrastructure planning (cabling, telecom, networking, etc.)
Local to Los Angeles/Orange County with ability to travel to Keck Hospital and clinics
Preferred Skills:
Experience with EMR/EHR and clinical software solutions
Knowledge of system integrations using standards like API, FHIR, HL7
Working knowledge of healthcare IT standards and environments
Familiarity with IT integration of medical equipment
